2nd Annual Golf Tournament
Our second annual golf tournament and dinner, now known as the DAM- Cancer Golf Classic, will be held on Friday, September 24, 2010 at the Presidio Golf Tournament in San Francisco. Since Our Inception…
The David Andrew “Pooh” Maddan Foundation has become a leading non-profit organization assisting young adults battling cancer. In just over year, the Foundation has been granted its 501(c)(3) public charity status and has raised over $160,000 through the generosity of our donors and the hard work of many of David’s friends. We are currently providing financial grants to more than nineteen young adults to support them in their fight against cancer and we are receiving more requests for aid every day.
About our Financial Support:
Many people, inspired by Pooh’s courageous battle, have held their own mini-fundraisers to contribute to the Foundation. Their support markets theFoundation at a grass roots level and allows us to network with people who would otherwise be out of reach.
In addition, the David Andrew “Pooh” Maddan Foundation held its own first major Fundraiser, a golf tournament and dinner with silent auction and opportunity drawings, on October 23, 2009 at the Presidio Golf Course in San Francisco. This event netted over $40,000. Participants enjoyed themselves so much that guests stayed until the Presidio closing
